Overview

Zājy̼om Gíhm was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1270, by Ktîbë. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Zājy̼om Gíhm was built using the conventions of Tauran durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Zājy̼om Gíhm is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Zājy̼om Gíhm is buildings are located arround a single premissive canals mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Zājy̼om Gíhm's frontieer-style defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Zājy̼om Gíhm shows Zājy̼om Gíhm is little more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Birbes can be seen changing hands openly, such that it must be customary to do so and must have been for a long time. The locals have no fear, no annoyance at the state of things, it simply is.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Zājy̼om Gíhm's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Zājy̼om Gíhm tiny harmless tornadoes plague the town.

The Flea, Giant near Zājy̼om Gíhm are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Zājy̼om Gíhm's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Augury energies of tier 2 via speaking in tongues.
